360º Around the Human Factor - A Creative Video Challenge!

Wherever you come from north, south, east or west of the continent if you are a creative citizen which loves to capture ideas and little big moments in life this is your challenge! 

To celebrate our 5th anniversary ELMUR.NET global visual dialogue invites you to submit your creative videos under the theme: 360º Around the Human Factor, creative perspectives on human values. 

In a globalised digital world where human beings are closer than ever, we would like to visually reflect about those things which unite us all.

What makes you feel close to others? What is valuable to you or to humankind? After all, what makes us humans? A feeling, a moment, an idea? Are you able to capture it with your camera, visualize it with images, graphics or with an animation?

Show us your talent and perspectives, share your creativity, inspire us and win amazing awards!

What can you get?

Best videos will be screened in public spaces and cultural events in an international context. You will be able to promote your talent and present your creativity to wider audiences in amazing in places and events like ESPACIO ENTER international Festival of Creativity, innovation and Digital Culture (ES) and BILDERFLUT public screenings in Berlin (DE) among others.

The board of experts from ELMUR.NET will do review and give you feedback of your proposal.

Every month ELMUR.NET will select a video to be presented in the ELMUR public screen installation in Lleida (Spain). It will be highlighted at elmur.net website and social media channels and promoted within ELMUR.NET international network.

ELEGIBILITY

No entry fee.

Open to all, no age or nationality restrictions.

We encourage amateurs and professional creatives to take part in the challenge. 

Open to all styles and techniques: creative video,  storytelling, animation, video art, video poetry, experimental, video collages, remixes, vj mixes, etc.

No limit in the number of works submited per entrant.

All videos will be published under Creative Commons Licence: attribution, noncommercial, share alike.

Selected ELMUR.NET videos will be screened inside the context of the collective show URBLAUB - Diferencia Vacacional - organized by the artist platform Berlinarte.org in a singular location, a "holidays apartment" in the popular Neuköller street Weserstrasse. 

URLAUB by ELMUR.NET will introduce three authors from diverse origin and backgrounds who reflect visually around the idea of travelling. Three perspectives, three creative looks that transform the seemingly everyday onto a peculiar and creative trip:

In cooperation with BERLINARTE.ORG

Coming from Germany, Poland and Czech Republic CAfE Partners have travelled to Lleida (ES) to discover elmur.net and its daily street screenings.

The visit has been organized inside the context of the cooperation project CAfE (Contemporary Art for Everyone) a collaborative project framed within the Grundtvig program of the European Commission, a network of cultural institutions working in the field of contemporary visual art in public space as a tool for social transformation, as well as forms and strategies of education and popularization of contenporary art among the general public.

Along this 3 days visit CAfE partners have also discovered Lleida’s cultural lanscape and discussed around the projects and festivals organised by the diferrent cultural institutions that they represent. New oportunities of cooperation have been presented, either with the aim to host special elmur.net screenings as well as to promote selected elmur.net’s users to participate within the festivals and art events which CAfE Partners Organise.

CAfE (Contemporary Art for Everyone) is a European Learning Partnership project (GRUNDVIG) by a network of cultural institutions working in the field of contemporary visual art and art in public space and forms of adult education in this sphere, popularising contemporary art and preparing adult learners and audience for the reception and better understanding. 

Aim of this project is to learn from each other and exchange the best practises in Europe, trying to use them in different countries, also during international undertakings.

elmur.net is one of the european partners that will be working within this collaborative project for the next 2 years. The first meeting of all CAfE consortium members took place at the MitOst office in Berlin from October 19-21, 2012 and the next one will be held in Spain, where all the cultural managers involved in this project will have the chance to discover elmur.net project and its daily street screenings in Lleida.
